AMBROSE HUGHES PRIVACY POLICY Last updated: August 25, 2026 Ambrose Hughes is a reading app containing the seventy-two books of the Ambrose Hughes devotional library. The short version: the app collects nothing. It has no accounts, asks for no personal information, and does not send anything about you anywhere. There is no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Everything the app remembers is stored on your own device, and you can erase all of it from inside the app. This policy is short because there is very little to say. That is deliberate. 1. WHO WE ARE -------------- Ambrose Hughes ("we", "us") is the provider of the Ambrose Hughes mobile application. You can reach us at ezrawademusic@gmail.com. 2. WHAT WE COLLECT ------------------- Nothing. We do not ask for your name, your email address or any other personal information. There is no sign-up, no sign-in and no account. We do not use advertising, analytics, crash reporting or any third-party software development kit that gathers information about you. The app makes no network requests of its own. The seventy-two books, the search index and the reading paths are all included in the download, which is why the app works with no connection at all. 3. WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE ----------------------------- The app remembers a few things so that it is useful the next time you open it: - Where you are in your reading, and which reading path you have chosen. - Which books and sections you have finished, and how many consecutive days you have read. - Your bookmarks. - The sentences you have highlighted, and any notes you have written beside them. All of this is written to storage on your device and stays there. It is not sent to us and we cannot see it. Nobody else can see your notes, because they never leave the device they were written on. Two consequences worth stating plainly, because they cut both ways: - Your reading is private in the strongest sense available. There is no copy of it on any server, so there is nothing for us to hand over, lose, or be compelled to disclose. - It is not backed up by us. If you delete the app, reset your device, or move to a new one, that record is gone and we cannot restore it. Your device's own backup, if you use one, may include it. 4. ERASING IT -------------- Open the Journey tab and choose "Clear my reading". This removes your place, your bookmarks, your highlights and your notes from the device immediately and permanently. The books themselves stay, because they are part of the app. Deleting the app removes everything as well. You do not need to contact us to do either, and there is no account for us to close, because there isn't one. 5. LINKS TO OTHER SERVICES --------------------------- Some reading paths suggest a song. Choosing one opens Spotify, either in the app on your device or in your browser. Nothing is streamed inside our app and no Spotify account is required to use ours, but once you follow such a link you are on Spotify and their privacy policy applies, not this one. 6. CHILDREN ------------ The app is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages. Since it collects no information from anyone, it collects none from children. 7. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY -------------------------- If we change it we will update the date at the top. A version of the app that collected personal information would require a different policy from this one, and we would say so clearly rather than quietly amending this page. An earlier version of the app, which was never released publicly, did offer optional accounts for carrying your reading between devices.
