AMBROSE HUGHES SUPPORT Last updated: August 25, 2026 The Ambrose Hughes app holds the seventy-two books of the Ambrose Hughes devotional library. It is free, it has no advertising, and there is nothing in it to buy. If something is not working, write to ezrawademusic@gmail.com and a person will read it. 1. CONTACT ----------- Email: ezrawademusic@gmail.com It helps if you say which iPhone you have, which version of iOS it is running, and what you were doing when the problem happened. A screenshot is worth a paragraph. 2. COMMON QUESTIONS -------------------- Do I need an account? No. There is no account and nothing to sign in to. Open the app and read. Do I need to be online? No, not at any point. The books, the search index and the reading paths are all installed with the app, so everything works on a plane, in a basement, or with the phone in airplane mode. How do I highlight a passage? Tap a sentence to highlight it. Press and hold a sentence to attach a note to it. Tap a highlighted sentence again to remove the mark. The app shows this once at the top of each book until you have done it. Where do my notes go? Journey, then Saved. Everything you have bookmarked, highlighted or written is in one list there, and tapping any of it takes you back to the passage it came from. How does the search work? It looks through the full text of all seventy-two books at once and shows you the sentence your words appeared in, with the book and section it came from. It works offline, like the rest of the library. What are the reading paths? Guided sequences through the library — a day at a time, drawn from across the books rather than one book start to finish. Journey remembers where you are in the path you have chosen. Why does a reading suggest a song? Some readings are paired with a song from the Ambrose Hughes Worship catalogue. Tapping it opens Spotify. Nothing is streamed inside the app, and the pairing is only a suggestion. Can I read on more than one device? You can install the app on as many devices as you like, and every book is there on each of them. Your place, bookmarks, highlights and notes are kept on the device where you made them, and do not travel between devices. That is the cost of having no account: nothing about your reading is stored anywhere we could copy it from. How do I erase my reading? Journey, then "Clear my reading". It is immediate and permanent: your place, your bookmarks, your highlights and your notes are removed from the device. Deleting the app does the same. The books stay in the app. Can I share what I am reading? Yes. There is a share button under the title of each section and again at the end of it. It makes a card carrying the passage, the book, and Ambrose Hughes. Can I reuse the text somewhere else? A short passage with attribution, yes. Republishing the books or substantial parts of them, no — they are free to read, not placed in the public domain. See the Terms of Use. 3. IF THE APP MISBEHAVES ------------------------- The three things worth trying before writing in: - Force-quit the app and open it again. - If a book will not open, reinstall the app. The books are part of the install, and reinstalling replaces them. Be aware that reinstalling also clears your place, bookmarks, highlights and notes, because those are kept on the device and nowhere else. If none of that helps, email us. Include what you tried. 4. PRIVACY ----------- The short version: the app collects nothing. No account, no email address, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking. It makes no network requests at all. Your place, bookmarks, highlights and notes are written to your own device and stay there — we never receive them and hold no copy. The full privacy policy is linked from the app and from this page. 5. ACCESSIBILITY ----------------- The reader follows the text size set in iOS, so making type larger in Settings makes it larger here. If something in the app is hard to use with the tools you rely on, please write and say so — that is worth fixing.
